The clientele is very diverse; it's a small town with a demographic that runs the gamut. Growth comes from word of mouth and reputation are huge here, along with community involvement. The payroll rate is fixed fee based on number of employees plus certain other additions (garnishes, extra checks, etc.) and fixed fees for quarterlies. Bookkeeping rates are $40/hr and I bill out at $125/hr. If you are able to communicate with a wide variety of personalities and are willing to be accessible you can be very successful.
