This opportunity consists of approximately 350 Individual income tax returns, a small amount of corporate tax returns and miscellaneous work with a niche in teachers and sole proprietors. Most new business comes from referrals and continuous advertising during tax season in School District Union Newspapers. The seller works out of Azusa but does spend 1 Saturday in mid to late February and March going to San Fernando for client interviews. The fee schedule is $150 base (1040, State, Schedule A) and $60 per C, E Rental property each, and for excessive D transactions, and around $35 for Home Office and Employee Business Expense. Buyer should be personable, provide the little extra without charging, and be quick to respond via phone or email questions. The seller does bill out for special projects though.
