Thomas Weldon began his career in investment banking before a transition to private equity in 2009. He has worked with organizations on both the buy-side and the sell-side, bringing experience that spans the life cycle of a deal—from sourcing and valuation, to structuring, financing, and execution. Prior to Accounting Practice Sales, Thomas held leadership positions in accounting, finance, and operations for a leading financial services company. He helped the company grow both organically and through acquisition before a successful exit to private equity investors. Thomas graduated from Columbia University with a degree in economics.

Stephen Weldon has been a sales and acquisition specialist for Accounting Practice Sales since 2005. His focus is on the Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky markets. Steve is experienced in every aspect of the sales process, from practice valuation and marketing, negotiations and deal structure, to closing and transition. Prior to joining APS, he had a successful 28-year career with a Fortune 500 company. Steve’s diverse background in marketing, sales and finance positions him to understand and meet the needs of both sellers and buyers. Steve is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Rob Rissmeyer left retired life to join APS in 2021. Prior to joining APS, Rob was the Chief Human Resources Officer for several large companies in the Central Ohio area. Whether it was preparing an organization for sale or navigating growth through acquisition, Rob has been an integral voice on merger and acquisition teams throughout his career. Rob is well-versed in all phases of the M&A process, understands the needs of both sellers and buyers, and is thus well-positioned to guide both sides through the process. Rob received his undergraduate business degree from The Ohio State University, an MBA from Capital University, and a JD from Capital University Law School. Rob is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and has been a sought-after speaker on a variety of business-related topics.
